Are you licensed and insured?
Yes, we are insured. The states of Kentucky nor Indiana do not require a license.
What type of paint do you use?
We use premium paint from Benjamin Moore, Sherwin Williams, and PPG.
Do you offer a warranty for your painting work?
Yes, for any issues due to application or paint failure. Limited to unsatisfactory condition of substrate such as rot, water damage, or other failures that would negate proper paint adhesion. Warranty work is subject to inspection by Walls Made New. Warranty may be void if products/materials are provided by the client and/or outside of recommended products by a contracted professional. Due to uncontrollable weathering & foot traffic, staining and painting of outdoor decks are not covered under warranty.
How do you determine the cost?
Our costs are determined by industry standards with time and scope of work in mind.
What is your estimated timeline for completion?
Each project requires a different timeline due to the wide variety of scopes of work there are. It is best to contact us to further discuss work to be done.
Can you help with color selection and provide samples?
Absolutely! We understand that choosing the right color is a big decision and are happy to help guide you in finding the right one that works with the vision you have in mind!
Do you handle preparation work, such as filling cracks or sanding?
Yes, preparation is key to giving the best finish! Here is an example.
How do you protect furniture and surfaces during painting?
We cover floors with drop cloths. Furniture and other surfaces are covered with painter’s plastic.
What is your interior painting process?
- Lay drop cloths on floors and painter’s plastic on furniture/surfaces
- Caulk necessary surfaces
- Patch walls/drywall repairs
- Tape necessary areas
- Remove switch plates, outlet covers and vents
- Sand patches
- Spot prime repairs
- Paint walls with topcoat twice
- Demask (Pull tape, uncover furniture)
- Install switch plates, outlet covers, and vents when walls are dry
- Carefully remove/fold drop cloths
- White Glove Clean (sweep floors, clean paint splatter, dust flat surfaces, and any necessary mopping)
- Label and leave paint cans
